What's the difference between this and other music recommendation services?
Other services passively suggest songs that you probably don't care about. 'I Like B-Sides', on the other hand, actively suggests random-mixes of less-popular but enjoyable songs (that you don't already have) by the artists you already like.

How does this work? These recommendations are great!
Simple, really. It does this by contrasting the songs you've rated and/or played-back against your remaining library, then checking sales-data for each artist and determining ratios of “quality-vs.-quantity” on both-sides... mathematically, using a proprietary formula. But past this point, it's not so simple.... We also factor songs that you do already own, but don't listen-to. (...for those who love collecting complete albums or discographies!) In addition, we subtract most of the more popular songs, and then move the songs that you already own elsewhere... for later comparison to retain the integrity of your library. And, that doesn't even include all of the math our developer smash has figured-out.... But, all you should care about is that the sorted results are then rehashed and the result is a fresh batch of songs for you to grab. Ta-da! ;)
